Chris Fraser (classical Chinese philosophy, comparative philosophy), Professor of Philosophy at the University of Hong Kong, has accepted a new Chair in Chinese Thought & Culture at the University of Toronto, where he will have appointments in both Philosophy and East Asian Studies. He starts in July 2021. With earlier appointments of specialists in Indian philosophy, Toronto is now the leading department in North America with significant offerings in non-Western philosophical traditions.
