Ordinal details and means/medians will be forthcoming soon, but based on the raw data shared by Professor Pynes, here are some notable changes in the overall rankings for the U.S. since 2021:
1. Pittsburgh drops out of the top 5 (McDowell-retirement effect mainly I expect, plus a lot of "superstars' over 75) (Pitt remains in the top 10 of course).
2. Texas debuts in the top 10 (in a tie with other departments).
3. Johns Hopkins debuts in the top 20 (in a tie with other departments)--as expected given all the hiring!
4. Columbia, CUNY, Notre Dame and Stanford remain in top 20, but drop from 2021 results--not unexpected given changes in the interim (retirements, lateral moves).
5. Purdue and Illinios/Urbana return to the top 50, reasonably so given their appointments over the last few years.
241 evaluators completed some or all of the survey (more logged into the surveys, but did not complete them, alas). NYU is still #1 overall in the US and by a secure margin against Rutgers (MIT model problem, I suspect, which affects votes by those interested in history of philosophy, including 19th- and 20th-century Continental).
Thanks to all the philosophers who contributed! And thanks to Professors Kar and Pynes who did all the hard work (people have no idea how much work it is)!
