This rumor has been making the rounds for several weeks now, and since some readers, including students, have been asking, I thought it would be worth noting "officially" that Hanna Pickard (philosophy of psychology [esp. addiction], moral psychology, medical ethics) at Johns Hopkins University has turned down the DeCamp Professorship at Princeton's University Center for Human Values, the Chair previously held by Peter Singer, who retired. She (and her husband, the philosopher Ian Phillips) are both remaining at Hopkins, a department they have played a major role in building over the last few years. That's a significant retention for Hopkins.
