Reader comments on some philosophers who have recently died

I want to thank readers for their excellent and illuminating comments and reflections on several recent obituaries posted here, including for Michael Tanner, Jonathan Bennett, William W. Tait, and Howard Stein.  I did not know any of these individuals personally, but I now feel like I know a bit about the people behind the philosophical work thanks to the evocative remembrances.   I should have started opening comments on memorials many years ago, but will certainly keep doing so.
