The Department of Philosophy at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, has made a half-dozen senior and junior hires this year, with a particular eye to building up in PPE. Here are the lateral hires, senior and junior:
Stewart Duncan (early modern) from the University of Florida, Gainesville, coming in as Professor.
Justin Bruner (social & political philosophy, PPE), currently Associate Professor of Political Economy and Moral Sciences at the University of Arizona will be joining Buffalo as Associate Professor.
Alexandra Oprea (political philosophy, PPE) currently Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, will be joining as Assistant Professor of Philosophy.
Daniel Stephens (Chinese and comparative philosophy, moral philosophy), currently Assistant Professor at Duke Kunshun University, will be joining Buffalo as an Assistant Professor.
