Not an analytic philosopher's conception of philosophy

Marx and Nietzsche would have agreed, albeit for somewhat different reasons.  But it is striking how utterly different this is than the highly conservative version of philosophy popular in the Anglophone world, which often aims to vindicate "common sense" and even religion.
