Shields from Notre Dame to UC San Diego

MOVING TO FRONT FROM JUNE 24, 2022--UPDATED

Christopher Shields (ancient philosophy, metaphysics), currently at the University of Notre Dame has now accepted the Allison Chair in History of Philosophy at the University of California, San Diego, where he will start in July 2023.  That's a major hire for UCSD!

UPDATE:   Shields will start January 2023, rather than next summer.
