Here's the penultimate version of a paper forthcoming in Oxford Studies in Experimental Philosophy, co-authored with two law colleagues (John Bronsteen at Loyola/Chicago and Jonathan Masur at UChicago) and one other philosopher in a law school (Kevin Tobia at Georgetown). The project began years ago when I was arguing with John and Jonathan about the plausibility of hedonism as a theory of well-being.
