Student newspaper Honi Soit reported it had seen a leaked list of units and enrolment numbers which revealed that at least 252 of 748 (33.7 per cent) undergraduate units were at risk of being cut.
Among the vulnerable subjects were Hebrew, biblical and Jewish studies, visual arts and philosophy, it reported.
Other subjects with low enrollments included areas as diverse as classics and ancient history, Chinese, Spanish, Latin American, Indonesian modern Greek, and Arabic languages and culture.
