Hamkins, Montero from Oxford, CUNY to Notre Dame

Joel Hamkins (logic, philosophical logic, philosophy of mathematics), currently Professor of Philosophy at Oxford University, and Barbara Montero (philosophy of mind and cognitive science, philosophy of dance), currently Professor of Philosophy at the College of Staten Island and the City University of New York Graduate Center, have both accepted senior offers from the Department of Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame. Hamkins will start in Spring 2022, and Montero in Fall 2022.   Notre Dame has long had a leadership position in mathematical and philosophical logic, and the appointment of Hamkins will solidify that.
