Nina Turner did well among working-class Black voters in Cleveland and environs...

...which, according to this genius at Jacobin, shows that a progressive candidate can do well with working-class Black voters.  Not once does the author mention that Turner is Black, a rather large confounding variable.  These folks should read Achen and Bartels, Democracy for Realists.  As long as the Democratic party traffics in mindless identity politics, the economic identity that matters most will not become a locus for political mobilization.
