...like Johns Hopkins, but it is going further and reducing by 10% the portion of the salary of highly-compensated employees that is above $285,00. That will mostly hit faculty in the law and business schools, although it will no doubt hit some faculty in fields like economics and the actual sciences like physics and chemistry, which tend to have some faculty in that salary range. (The medical school at Duke, like most medical schools, has its own budget and will make its own cost-cutting decisions.)
