Early on, Eric Feigl-Ding--who turns out to have a PhD in nutrition not anything related to epidemiology--was one of the first to express proper alarm about COVID-19 and he was also a useful source of links to medical and science journals and news outlets covering the new coronavirus (useful, at least, for someone like me not familiar with the relevant venues). He also led me to other actual experts, like Dr. Marc Lipsitch, an epidemiologist at Harvard. But it became clear that he was shooting from the hip too often, and I gave up on following him entirely on April 7 after this idiotic bit of sensationalism. A number of critical articles have now appeared, including here and here.
(Thanks to Nick Serafin and Robert Gressis for the pointers to articles about Feigl-Ding.)
