MOVING TO FRONT FROM AUGUST 28--UPDATED
Two Amherst faculty, Lawrence Douglas (Law, Jurisprudence & Social Thought) and Alexander George (Philosophy) wrote this very funny Swiftian satire (one hopes it's not prescient!) about reactions if President Trump were to shoot his ex-lawyer Michael Cohen in broad daylight in Manhattan.
Five days later, Thomas Friedman produced this. (It's not as funny, of course, but after all, this is Friedman, whose relationship with the English language is a fractious one.)
UPDATE: If you scroll to the end of the Friedman article (link above) there is now an ackcnowledgment of the similarity, but a denial that he had seen this previosuly.
