Impending strike by university faculty in the UK

I thought this might be of interest to a significant number of your blog readers. Mike Otsuka (LSE, Philosophy) has an excellent analysis of the role of Oxbridge in undermining the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) and precipitating the pension cuts that are the reason for the strike:

I had heard about this, but am glad to now have details and informative links.  Comments from readers--with more information and anything else relevant--are also welcome.  Prof. Otsuka's piece is definitely worth a read.
