While suburban Republican women might have been put off by Trump's rude mouth (as the Clinton campaign hoped), it was a matter of indifference to many working-class voters, just as it was in New York with respect to Koch and Giuliani. (Ironically, the role of "suburban Republican women" is played in academic philosophy by a group that has a different ideology, but shares the etiquette prejudices of its prissy class.)
