...and other thoughts on the French election, which seems to have been oddly reported in the U.S. One of the weirder ones is the idea that the election was a revolt against "the Establishment." Yet Establishment candidates got 60% of the vote--Macron having been a leading figure in the Socialist party and government until running under his own party banner just recently.
