Quicksilver was part of the late 1960s psychedelic scene in San Francisco--they enjoyed more commercial success than Moby Grape, but not nearly as much as the Jefferson Airplane or Grateful Dead. To the extent one hears them on "classic rock" radio these days, it's usually for "Fresh Air" from their third studio album in 1970. This tune comes from their second album, Shady Grove (1969):
