Bernstein, Nolan to Notre Dame

Sara Bernstein (metaphysics) at Duke University and Daniel Nolan (metaphysics) at the Australian National University have both accepted tenured offers from the Department of Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame, where they will start this fall.  Bernstein will be Associate Professor of Philosophy, and Nolan will be the McMahon-Hank Professor of Philosophy.  These are major appointments for Notre Dame, which has been a metaphysics powerhouse for more than a generation now, and these new appointments will insure the department's continued distinction in the field.
