MOVING TO FRONT FROM JUNE 13: UPDATED
As we gear up for the 2014-15 PGR, I would like to announce some changes to the Advisory Board. Board members nominate evaluators in their areas of expertise, vote on various policy issues (including which faculties to add to the surveys), serve as evaluators themselves and, when they step down, suggest replacements.
It is my pleasure to thank the following retiring Board members, who have served since the beginning: Frederick Beiser (Syracuse University), Michael Devitt (CUNY Graduate Center), Sebastian Gardner (University College London), Gilbert Harman (Princeton University), Thomas Hurka (University of Toronto), A. John Simmons (University of Virginia), Robert Stern (University of Sheffield), William Wimsatt (University of Chicago), Jonathan Wolff (University College London), and Julian Young (Wake Forest University). I am also grateful to retiring Board member Peter Godfrey-Smith (CUNY Graduate Center), who has been a great help in recent years.
These philosophers have my sincere gratitude, and the gratitude of the many students who have benefitted from the PGR and the contribution their expertise has made to its usefulness.
It is also my privilege to announce eight new Advisory Board members: Berit Brogaard (University of Miami), John Horty (University of Maryland), Michelle Kosch (Cornell University), L.A. Paul (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill), David Schmidtz (University of Arizona), Iain Thomson (University of New Mexico), Katja Vogt (Columbia University), and Michael Weisberg (University of Pennsylvania). My thanks to these distinguished philosophers for their willingness to assist with the work of the Advisory Board.
UPDATE: Edouard Machery (University of Pittsburgh) has also agreed to join the Board.
