We will have a memorial conference in honor of Paul Hoffman on Friday, December 10 at UC Riverside. The main speakers will be Jennifer Whiting (Toronto) and Robert Adams (UNC, Chapel Hill). The public is invited. More details to follow. Contact persons: Andrews Reath, John Martin Fischer, and Jayne Gales . Ms. Gales is the head staff person for the department, and she can answer logistical questions.
For those possibly interested in making a trip to Southern California and combining the two events, the UCR and UC Irvine departments are co-sponsoring a memorial conference in honor of Nelson Pike on Saturday, December 11 at UCI. The main speakers will be Marilyn Adams (UNC, Chapel Hill), Robert Adams (UNC, Chapel Hill), John Martin Fischer (UC Riverside), and David Woodruff-Smith (UC Irvine).
