The FSU press release is here. That's fabulous news for FSU and for philosophers interested in free will generally.
I must though take issue with one bit of puffery in the press release: "Mele is considered the most eminent authority on the subject and is the primary reason why the Philosophical Gourmet Report has ranked Florida State’s philosophy department No.1 in the world when it comes to the study of philosophy of action, which includes free will." This unfairly slights other leading writers on free will elsewhere (like John Martin Fischer and Gary Watson), and, moreover, unfairly slights the contribution that Randolph Clarke and Michael McKenna made to FSU's excellence in the area in the last PGR surveys. (Professor McKenna has since accepted an offer at Arizona.) So it goes with press releases, alas.
(Thanks to Sabrina Jamil for the pointer.)
