MOVING TO FRONT FROM JANUARY 20--SEE 2ND UPDATE
...8% wish for a "better world." E-mail me if you know of comparable surveys from other countries. I am curious whether this is an artifact of some of the extremities of American culture, or something else.
UPDATE: Reader Jonathan Hunter fairly points out that, "at least one of the kids who wished for money did so in order that 'my mom won't have to work so much.' Also, one of the quotes at the end has a girl saying that she doesn't 'want for my family or any other family to worry about unemployment.' I wonder how many of those kids who wished for money did so because of family financial struggles as opposed to plain old money lust." This is a good question.
