I must say I have grown very tired of the efforts by some of those interested in post-Kantian traditions in European philosophy (many of them not very smart, sad to say) to pretend that they are the ones "really" engaged with the Continental traditions in philosophy. In fact, these "Party Line Continentalists," as I've now dubbed them, represent a political program to capture an important sub-field of philosophy and to insulate themselves from ordinary philosophical scrutiny and evaluation by those they would like to deem "outsiders" to the party. I'm afraid the game is up.
