This remains the best source I've found on the upcoming elections, which are obviously of considerable importance for humanity at large. We don't know, of course, what malfeasance the Republicans will engage in at the last minute, but, at this point, it seems like there should be a Democratic sweep. Political philosopher Chris Bertram (Bristol) has apt comments on some of the pathetically low expectations for an Obama victory. Perhaps Obama will do better than the regressive Bill Clinton. But beyond the domestic arena, there are certainly reasons to think that the criminal military aggressions of the Bush regime will be a thing of the past under Obama, in the way they would not be under McCain. I hope my modest expectation on that score will not be disappointed.
