Christopher Peacocke (philosophy of language and mind, metaphysics, epistemology), currently at Columbia University, will take up the newly named Richard Wollheim Chair in Philosophy at University College London, where he will be in residence each May-July (starting in 2008) supervising graduate students and putting on research seminars. (This Established Chair was formerly unnamed, and held previously by Paul Horwich [now at NYU] and Quassim Cassam [now at Cambridge].) Peacocke will continue to be full-time at Columbia University the rest of the American academic year.
