Apparently, some prominent Alabama judges--including Justice Tom Parker, who is running for Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court (which is frightening indeed!)--have decided that the divining rod of truth as far as the law is concerned is better used at the local level. Indeed, according to their own bizarro-world version of checks and balances, state judges have a duty to ignore the decisions of federal judges when these decisions are deemed to be unconstitutional.
