The political philosopher Michae Otsuka, currently at University College London, has accepted a senior offer from the University of California at San Diego, to start this fall. Given where each department ranked in political philosophy in the last PGR, my guess would be that UCSD will now move in to the Group 2 cluster (with Otsuka and Richard Arneson, plus faculty with related interests such as David Brink), while UCL will slip a bit (Jonathan Wolff, as well as several affiliated faculty, still remain at UCL, making it an attractive choice in the area).
