Mark Rowlands (philosophy of mind/cognitive science/ethics), currently at the University of Exeter, has accepted a senior appointment as Professor of Mental and Moral Philosophy at the University of Hertfordshire, UK, to start in August 2004. Another setback for Exeter, which only recently recruited Rowlands, and which also now faces the prospect of losing Paul Griffiths to the Australian Federation Fellowship.
