On the op-ed page no less. Is this a first?
Something is happening at The Times: first, they run a review of a Chomsky book several weeks ago that isn't a total slanderous, hatchet job, and actually includes words of appreciation. Now they run Chomsky on the op-ed page. David Brooks, Thomas Friedman, and William Safire must be besides themselves: it's bad enough having one intelligent, honest person on the op-ed page, but at least Krugman doesn't write about foreign policy. Will a Chomsky column be next? (Will Ralph Nader be elected President?)
