UPDATED: see below
"Philosophy Talk" (the creation of John Perry and Kenneth Taylor at Stanford) is set to debut starting January 6th, 2004, 12:00pm pdt on KALW 91.7 FM in San Francisco. The program will appear weekly. From Professor Taylor:
"We are also in negotiations at this very moment with public radio stations in Oregon and Washington State here. So it may well be that we will be on up and down the West Coast from day one.
"We hope to have reached a national audience by the end of our first year on the air.
"Our real webpage will be up and running by the beginning of January -- though here is a link that people can checkout now for the three programs we've done so far (one of which was broadcast, two of which are for marketing purposes only).

"Listeners not able to catch us via radio, will be able to listen to our live stream, both via a Stanford website and via many of the websites of the stations that will carry us."
UPDATE 11/26: More from Professor Taylor:
"Philosophy Talk won't be debuting as previously announced on January 6th, but will debut on January 13th. The program is being pre-empted on the 6th by a Democratic party presidential debate that will be broadcast in its time slot instead.
"Oregon Public Broadcasting has now definitely agreed to carry the program. In Oregon, a taped version of the program will air at 8pm on Thursday evenings, beginning January 15th.
"Philosophers in the Seattle region take note that although KUOW is not prepared to put the program on air at this time, they have agreed to revisit the possibility in a couple of month after seeing how the program develops and whether it can develop an audience."
