H.L.A. Hart Defended...

...here against the amazingly ignorant and often stupid remarks of A.W.B. Simpson (Law, Michigan) in his review of Nicola Lacey's very fine biography in the Times Literary Supplement.  In addition to the letter by myself and Les Green, there is also a sharp letter by the philosopher Annette Baier.  These letters are in the current print issue, and probably won't last on-line for more than a week at the TLS site.
